Janet Jackson Nearing Deal for Las Vegas Residency at Resorts World

It is challenging to remember a time when Las Vegas’ live entertainment faced a slight slump. However, Sin City has made a remarkable recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic in unexpected ways. Recent reports indicate that Janet Jackson will be the next superstar to join the Las Vegas lineup.

Today, TMZ claimed that the “Pleasure Principle” singer was “in the final stages of signing a residency deal with Resorts World.”

A source close to the situation informed the outlet that Jackson and Resorts World were eyeing December as the launch date, starting with a New Year’s Eve performance. TMZ also alleged that Jackson had previously been approached for a similar opportunity with a venue in London but decided against it in favor of the more attractive Vegas offer.

Later in the day, Daily Mail issued a statement reportedly from Janet Jackson’s manager, Mo Elmasri, supporting TMZ’s report.

However, neither Jackson nor Resorts World Las Vegas have publicly confirmed the rumor.

Last month, Jackson wrapped up the US leg of her Together Again Tour. In September, she will kick off the international segment in Europe, which will conclude in October. Therefore, a December residency in Las Vegas appears feasible.
