Jelly Roll and Morgan Wallen Share the Stage in Las Vegas

Morgan Wallen and Jelly Roll appeared to be overjoyed sharing the stage, much to the delight of their fans. The two stars joined forces to perform “Cowgirls” during a stop on Wallen’s One Night at a Time Tour in Las Vegas on Thursday, August 8.

Originally, Ernest duets with Wallen on the recorded version of “Cowgirls,” but in Ernest’s absence, Jelly Roll stepped in. The three artists share a friendship offstage — fans may recall that Ernest co-wrote Jelly Roll’s first country radio hit, “Son of a Sinner.”

Nate Smith and Ella Langley were among the opening acts for Wallen’s first night in Las Vegas, alongside Jelly Roll. On Friday night, Bailey Zimmerman will replace Jelly Roll as the opening act.

“Cowgirls” is making waves, currently sitting inside the Top 5 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. During the performance, a video captures Jelly Roll singing the song’s second verse, with Wallen and the audience joining in for the chorus. Jelly Roll’s surprise appearance was arguably the second biggest highlight of the night. Earlier, another superstar graced the stage during Jelly Roll’s set.

Earlier in the evening, Jelly Roll surprised the crowd by bringing out Machine Gun Kelly for two songs: “Need a Favor” and “Lonely Road.” The latter track serves as their spin-off on John Denver’s “Country Roads,” and its music video features Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie Xo. Fans were quick to share videos of these moments on social media.

Jelly Roll’s headlining tour is set to begin later this month, and this Las Vegas performance served as something of a warm-up. Despite the upcoming dates, Jelly Roll has been busy throughout the summer, performing at various fairs and festivals across the United States.

Friday night marks the final show in the American leg of Wallen’s One Thing at a Time Tour, though he has four international dates scheduled for later this year.
