Jelly Roll turned the 2024 Kids’ Choice Awards into a heartwarming family event by bringing his two children, Bailee Ann and Noah Buddy, along with him. The 39-year-old musician attended the event on Saturday evening, coordinating matching denim outfits with his 16-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son. Jelly wore a button-up denim shirt with dark slacks, Bailee looked stylish in a button-up vest with matching jeans, and little Noah sported an adorable jean jacket and jeans, topped off with a baseball cap.

It’s rare to see the father of two out with his children, as his wife, Bunnie XO, is usually the one accompanying him to public events like the Country Music Awards and the GRAMMYS. The couple has been married since 2016, and Bunnie serves as a step-mother to Bailee and Noah, who are from Jelly’s previous relationships.

Jelly Roll is generally quite protective and keeps his children out of the spotlight, making exceptions only for significant events like the Kids’ Choice Awards. Fans are aware that his daughter Bailee was a crucial factor in his decision to change his lifestyle. He was in jail for drug dealing when Bailee was born, and missing her birth served as a wake-up call for the now two-time GRAMMY Award nominee.

“I could no longer be selfish. There was something that was solely relying on me,” he mentioned in an earlier interview with 105.7 The Point. “I knew that it was an important task. So I wanted to take it seriously. And I did. I take it very seriously to this day.”

Jelly Roll clearly cherishes his role as a father. In June, both he and Bunnie announced they were trying to expand their family through IVF to have a child together. In an episode of the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast, Jelly Roll revealed that the desire for more children was one of the reasons he decided to lose over 60 pounds.

“I think it was realizing that I just want to feel good,” he said. “My wife and I are talking about having a baby. And it made me realize, at almost 40, that means I gotta live till at least 60. I gotta see this kid into college.”

Bunnie shared a clip from the podcast on Instagram, explaining their decision to openly discuss their IVF journey. “We had planned on doing this privately, but decided our IVF journey needed to be shared because we’ve always been so open. And with all odds stacked against us, it’s already been hard and we have only just begun,” she wrote. “J & I are so excited and scared all at the same time.”

She added, “We genuinely never thought we’d want to add to our family, but something changed this year, and we both just want a piece of us together to add to our already perfect family with Bailee and Noah.”
