Jelly Roll Joins Morgan Wallen for Onstage Performance in Las Vegas

Morgan Wallen and Jelly Roll appeared to be overjoyed sharing a stage, much to the delight of their fans. The two stars teamed up to perform “Cowgirls” during Wallen’s One Night at a Time Tour stop in Las Vegas on Thursday (Aug. 8).

While Ernest is Wallen’s duet partner on the recorded version of “Cowgirls,” Jelly Roll stepped in for this live performance as Ernest was absent. The three men share a close friendship off the stage. Fans may remember that Ernest co-wrote Jelly Roll’s first country radio hit, “Son of a Sinner.”

  • Nate Smith and Ella Langley joined Jelly Roll as opening acts for Wallen’s first night in Las Vegas.
  • Bailey Zimmerman is set to replace Jelly Roll for the Friday night show.
  • “Cowgirls” is currently sitting inside the Top 5 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

Video footage captured Jelly Roll singing the second verse of “Cowgirls,” with Wallen and the crowd joining in for the chorus. This surprise appearance was arguably the second biggest highlight of the night. During his own set, Jelly Roll brought out another superstar.

Earlier in the night, Jelly Roll surprised the audience by bringing Machine Gun Kelly on stage for two songs: “Need a Favor” and “Lonely Road.” Their rendition of “Lonely Road” is a spin-off on John Denver’s “Country Roads,” and its music video stars Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie Xo.

Fans were quick to share videos of these moments on social media:

Jelly Roll’s headlining tour is set to begin later this month, so this performance served as a bit of a warm-up. Despite this, he’s had a busy summer with multiple dates at fairs and festivals across the United States.

Friday night marks Wallen’s final stop on the American leg of his One Thing at a Time Tour. However, he has four international dates scheduled for this year.

Jelly Roll is one of country music’s most compelling characters, with a life full of twists and turns. He has always been candid about his journey, making him a fascinating figure within the genre.

To date, he’s written and performed numerous hits that resonate deeply with fans, and his collaborations with artists like Morgan Wallen and Machine Gun Kelly showcase his versatility and widespread appeal.

Fans can look forward to more memorable performances from these artists as they continue to tour and create music that resonates with a wide audience.
