Jelly Roll Returned From Canada With Incredible Souvenirs

Jelly Roll finally made it to Canada to play his first international shows, and he didn’t return home empty-handed.

On TikTok, the singer’s wife Bunnie Xo displayed his brand new shoes: a pair of orange Croc slip-ons, adorned with custom Jibbitz. A fan gifted the shoes to him, he says in the clip, and they seem to be a perfect fit.

Jibbitz — the footwear charms that Crocs owners can purchase to enhance their shoes — come in a wide range of themes and styles. In Jelly’s case, they’re a wonderful memento of his trip to Canada.

One shoe is embellished with the letters “JR” (for Jelly Roll), a guitar, and Nashville’s area code, 615. The other features the letters “XO” for his wife, Bunnie Xo, along with a charm styled as a marijuana leaf and another that looks like Bunnie’s dog, Chachi. Both shoes are adorned with small Canadian flags.

“Oh, that is awesome,” Bunnie says in the clip, from behind the camera. “I love you, baby. And thank you to whoever made these.”

For Jelly, the shoes are more than just a special fan gift: they’re also a memento of his first time performing outside the U.S., something he’s been striving to achieve for a long time.

Jelly Roll’s background as a convicted felon complicates his ability to travel internationally.

The singer was charged with a felony at the age of 16 for aggravated robbery. Tennessee has a zero-forgiveness policy for felony offenders, meaning that despite serving his time, the conviction remains on his record, continuing to impact his professional and personal life.

Jelly also lost the opportunity to buy a dream house in a gated community with a golf course due to his felony record.

Eventually, Jelly was able to secure the necessary paperwork to travel outside the U.S., but gaining entry to other countries remains challenging. Despite these hurdles, he managed to book Canadian shows as part of his 2024 Beautifully Broken Tour.

While onstage in Canada, Jelly shared with the crowd that he was thoroughly enjoying their country. He specifically mentioned his appreciation for the local weed strains and the popular dish poutine.
