Jenna Ortega Shines in New ‘Beetlejuice 2’ Trailer

Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled an exciting new trailer for “Beetlejuice 2,” putting Jenna Ortega’s character in the spotlight. Known for her role in “Wednesday,” Ortega plays the daughter of Winona Ryder’s Lydia Deetz. The trailer reveals key plot details, showing Ortega’s character, a nonbeliever, getting abducted into the underworld. This forces Lydia to team up with Michael Keaton’s Beetlejuice to bring her back.

Tim Burton returns to direct the highly anticipated sequel, with the screenplay penned by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, the showrunners of “Wednesday.” Burton, who directed episodes of the Netflix series, seems to have drawn inspiration from the success of “Wednesday,” making the long-awaited sequel to “Beetlejuice” a reality.

In “Beetlejuice 2,” Lydia Deetz, portrayed by Winona Ryder, is now a paranormal investigation TV host. She struggles with reconnecting with her family following her father’s death, a character played by Jeffrey Jones in the first film. Lydia soon finds herself making a dubious deal with Beetlejuice, the eccentric ghost played by Michael Keaton, in a desperate bid to save her daughter, Astrid, played by Jenna Ortega.

Catherine O’Hara reprises her role as Delia, Lydia’s mother, adding to the familiar faces returning in this sequel. Additionally, the film introduces new characters played by Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe, and Burn Gorman, enriching the ensemble cast.

“Beetlejuice 2” promises to be a fantastic blend of humor and spookiness, staying true to the charm of its predecessor. With its exclusive release in theaters on September 6, fans can expect a thrilling cinematic experience that brings together the familiar elements of the original film with fresh, intriguing twists.
