Jennifer Aniston’s Rep Denies Rumors of Affair with Barack Obama

‘InTouch’ looked into wild speculation, with the ‘Friends’ star’s team responding.

Jennifer Aniston has denied a scandalous story circulating on the internet and in tabloids, suggesting an affair with former President Barack Obama. In Touch Weekly investigated these rumors in its Aug. 5, 2024 print issue and found them to be completely false. However, the magazine did claim that the two had been growing closer as friends.

In response, Aniston’s representative has firmly denied these claims, stating the Morning Show actress does not have any “personal friendship” with Obama, though she is “a fan.” Aniston has previously contributed to Obama’s political campaigns. Despite the clear denial, the outlet still featured the story prominently on its cover, advertising it as “The Truth About Jen & Barack,” with a subheader that alarmingly read “MICHELLE BETRAYED AS ANISTON STEALS HER HUSBAND’S ATTENTION.”

Inside the magazine, InTouch laid out various claims from unnamed sources. One source stated, “With the election coming up in November, Jen has gotten very political, so sheʼs found herself in Barackʼs world a lot lately. Heʼs gone Hollywood, so heʼs now in Jenʼs world. He has production deals going [with Netflix]. They have found they have a lot in common and are talking more and more.”

Another source went as far as to say, “Theyʼre friends for life.”

Regarding the aspect involving Michelle Obama, which was teased on the cover, the source claimed, “Michelle knows theyʼre chummy, and apparently sheʼs not thrilled. Jen is stealing her husbandʼs attention. But she also trusts Barack.”

Obama’s representatives did not offer any comment on the story. In Touch Weekly has not published the story on its website, although it is available digitally through services like Libby.
