Amid ongoing rumors of marital troubles with husband Ben Affleck, a source revealed to ET that Lopez is making a conscious effort to focus on the positives. She celebrated her birthday in Bridgehampton, New York, surrounded by friends and family, which she always cherishes, especially during the summer. The source mentioned that despite a challenging year filled with unexpected realizations, changes, and obstacles, Lopez aims to view her 55th birthday as a fresh start, without letting her situation with Affleck weigh her down.

On Wednesday, Lopez stepped out to visit Candy Kitchen in Bridgehampton with her 16-year-old son, Max, and a male friend, according to an eyewitness. The witness described Lopez riding her bike to and from the location while wearing a green dress. Max, who arrived by car with a female friend, left separately. The eyewitness noted that Lopez looked happy and content, even thanking a fan who wished her a happy birthday before she rode away on her bike with her friend.

Lopez went all out for her birthday last weekend, hosting a “Bridgerton”-themed party in the Hamptons. Photos from the event showed the lavish celebration, complete with a horse-drawn carriage, exquisite furniture, and numerous floral arrangements. While her mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, attended the party, Affleck was notably absent. This comes as the couple recently celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary apart earlier this month.

Despite the ongoing speculation about their marriage, Lopez has maintained a close relationship with Affleck’s children, particularly his and ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s 18-year-old daughter, Violet. A source told ET that Lopez and Violet have grown close throughout Lopez’s relationship with Affleck, and maintaining that bond is important to everyone involved. Affleck and Garner also share two other children, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, while Lopez has 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with her ex, Marc Anthony.
