Jeremy Allen White Goes Viral Cooking at ‘The Bear’ Pop-Up Event

In honor of The Bear Season 3, Jeremy Allen White and his fellow stars cooked at the Uncle Paulie’s Deli pop-up in Los Angeles. They served Mr. Beef’s Italian sandwiches to fans and visitors. A video, shared by LosAngelesBucketList on TikTok, captures White in a bustling kitchen, preparing food. The series’ creator, Christopher Storer, also makes an appearance, handing out orders.

This unique event was a fun effort from The Bear cast and crew. It allowed White and others to engage in some method acting at Uncle Paulie’s Deli and demonstrate the culinary skills they honed for their roles in the show. Uncle Paulie’s Deli, with three locations in Los Angeles and one in Las Vegas, is an iconic spot, making it a perfect partner for this collaboration with the hit FX series.

Jeremy Allen White, best known for his leading role in The Bear, is an Emmy-winning actor. His career began with appearances in episodes of Conviction and Law and Order, as well as roles in films such as Beautiful Ohio and The Speed of Life. White’s breakout role came in 2011 when he began starring in Shameless, alongside William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum, and Justin Chatwin. The series, running for 11 seasons and producing 134 episodes, concluded in 2021.

White has also had roles on the big screen in films like Twelve, Movie 43, After Everything, and The Rental. In 2023, he starred alongside Zac Efron and Harris Dickinson in The Iron Claw. The trio portrayed the iconic Von Erich brothers, and the film was a modest hit, grossing $45.2 million during its theatrical run from A24.

The Bear, a series created by Christopher Storer, follows an award-winning chef named Carmy Berzatto, played by Jeremy Allen White. After his brother’s death, Carmy returns home to take over the family sandwich shop he inherited. This task proves more challenging than it initially appears, as unresolved family trauma, debts, and a difficult staff complicate Carmy’s efforts to turn the shop around.

The series features a talented cast including Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Lionel Boyce, and Liza Colòn-Zayas. Throughout its three seasons, The Bear has attracted A-listers as recurring and guest stars, including Molly Gordon, Alex Moffat, Jon Bernthal, Joel McHale, Will Poulter, John Mulaney, Jamie Lee Curtis, Olivia Colman, and John Cena.

The Bear premiered on June 23, 2022, with eight episodes. Its 10-episode second season followed almost a year later on June 22, 2023. The third season, also consisting of 10 episodes, debuted on June 26, 2024. A fourth season is undoubtedly on the horizon; however, it remains unclear when production will commence due to the scripts not being ready. Consequently, the season did not film back-to-back with the third season.

The Bear has received significant recognition at the Emmys, winning 10 awards out of its 13 nominations. The series has earned accolades across various categories, including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Jeremy Allen White and Outstanding Comedy Series in 2023.
