Jeremy Clarkson Predicts Just One Grand Tour Colleague Will Visit His New Pub

Jeremy Clarkson is quite occupied these days, welcoming guests to his new pub, The Farmer’s Dog. However, he’s predicting that out of his close colleagues from The Grand Tour, only one will stop by.

The enthusiastic crowd demonstrated strong interest as hundreds of people queued outside the pub in Asthall, near Burford in Oxfordshire. The grand opening took place on Friday, August 23rd. This new venture is an impressive extension of Clarkson’s Diddly Squat farm project, which fans have come to know through his Prime Video series, Clarkson’s Farm, launched in 2021.

Clarkson shared his tentative timeline during a chat with Cathy Newman on Times Radio. “We think we might wrap up filming for season four in a couple of weeks, then proceed with editing and translation. We’re aiming for a release around May. After that, filming for season five should commence pretty soon,” He said.

As for his former Top Gear and The Grand Tour co-stars Richard Hammond and James May visiting his new pub, Clarkson had some interesting insights: “James probably won’t, but Richard will,” he stated. “I talked to Richard just yesterday. We’re buds and we’ll continue to see each other,” he added.

Before he acquired his farm, Clarkson was widely recognized for co-hosting the BBC’s Top Gear, alongside May and Hammond, until he was let go in 2015 following an incident involving one of the show’s producers. Post-Top Gear, Clarkson, May, and Hammond were recruited by Amazon, which led to their Prime Video series, The Grand Tour. The series has just wrapped up filming for its final season.

Reflecting on the conclusion of The Grand Tour, Clarkson admitted, “It was emotional, but the weird part is that I’m not really saying goodbye to anyone. We use the same crews and producers for the farm show as for the car show. So, it’s more like saying, ‘See you Monday on the farm’.”

When asked if he would miss his co-hosts, Clarkson had a positive outlook. “I can see them whenever I want. When we started, we couldn’t have imagined we’d be together for 22 years. It’s tough thinking we won’t do that again, but on the bright side, I won’t have to frequent Terminal 5 at Heathrow as often,” he mused.

Clarkson also revealed some of his plans for the new pub, including selling his own Hawkstone lager and produce from his nearby farm. However, local residents in West Oxfordshire have raised some concerns over potential traffic issues, considering the pub’s proximity to the busy A40 road.

In a related piece of news, Prime Video recently announced the release date for the final season of The Grand Tour.
