Jerry Ferrara Wants Jalen Brunson on New Podcast with Matt Leinart

Jerry Ferrara has a top-tier guest list in mind for his new “Throwbacks” sports podcast alongside Matt Leinart. Leading that list is New York Knicks superstar Jalen Brunson.

TMZ Sports caught up with the former “Entourage” and “Power” actor to discuss his latest project with the Heisman Trophy winner. Ferrara couldn’t contain his excitement about the weekly chats they’ll have covering all things sports and life.

Ferrara clarified that the podcast won’t be strictly about sports stats and strategies. As a lifelong fan of the Yankees, Giants, and Knicks, he’ll bring a dedicated fan’s perspective.

It’s a perfect pairing since Leinart was a big name at USC around the same time Ferrara’s character Turtle was making waves on the Sunset Strip with Vinny, E, and Drama. Ferrara joked that they probably would have been friends back then, but now they get to officially connect.

Leinart will bring West Coast insights while Ferrara, a Brooklyn native, will cover the East Coast angles.

Regarding potential guests, Ferrara mentioned numerous candidates, but he is especially keen on having Jalen Brunson, Giants rookie Malik Nabers, and head coach Brian Daboll.

Of course, the conversation wouldn’t be complete without an “Entourage” question. Although Ferrara acknowledged fans’ hopes for reboots and more movies, he explained why it might not be the best idea.

And what about a Turtle-focused spinoff? Ferrara had an intriguing response and even mused about what Turtle’s life would be like today.
