Jill Biden Shines in Custom Ralph Lauren at DNC 2024 Night One

Jill Biden arrived at the 2024 Democratic National Convention in sparkling fashion on Monday at the United Center in Chicago. The First Lady of the United States addressed delegates from across the United States and its territories about her husband, President Joe Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Biden wore a custom long-sleeve dress courtesy of Ralph Lauren. The shimmering blue look featured allover glittering details, which Biden mimicked with her various accessories and final touches to her look.

Biden coordinated her dress with a pair of sparkling, pointed-toe pumps and a set of shimmering statement earrings to complete the ensemble.

The first lady is well known for wearing looks by the designer, as a sartorial statement on her support of American designers. Biden notably wore the fashion brand at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony in July, as well as during a state dinner for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in June 2023. She also wore a Ralph Lauren ensemble at the coronation of King Charles III in May 2023.

During her speech, Biden spoke about both her husband, President Joe Biden, and offered her support to Vice President Kamala Harris. President Biden ended his re-election campaign last July. “Joe and I have been together for almost 50 years,” Biden said, adding, “And still there are moments when I fall in love with him all over again.”

On Vice President Harris, the first lady said, “Joe and I know Kamala. We have seen her courage, her determination and her leadership up close. Kamala and Tim [Walz], you will win.”

The 2024 Democratic National Convention is taking place in Chicago and concludes on Thursday. Delegates from all 50 states and U.S. territories are gathering to formally nominate Harris as the Democratic Party’s nominee for president and Walz as the nominee for the office of vice president.
