Joey Lawrence addressed recent rumors about his personal life on his “Brotherly Love” podcast, expressing concern for how this drama is impacting his three daughters, especially his youngest.

The actor appeared somber as he reluctantly discussed his ongoing divorce from Samantha Cope, whom he married two years ago.

Samantha filed for divorce earlier this month, listing June as their separation date and requesting sole physical custody of their baby daughter.

Joey revealed the process was meant to be private and feels many details that have leaked are inaccurate.

He expressed regret for losing control over his personal life, referencing his time with Samantha, and voiced sadness that his daughters were entangled in the drama.

Joey hinted at his frustration regarding a recent social media post by Samantha that included their young daughter.

He mentioned his pride in having a successful 15-year-long marriage with his first wife, Chandie Yawn-Nelson. They share two older daughters, aged 18 and 14, and Joey noted that he and Chandie remain good friends.

Joey took to Instagram, stating that one major reason for his split from Samantha was her inability or unwillingness to fully accept his two older daughters.

Rumors of an affair reemerged this week, fueled by a TMZ video showing Joey flirtatiously dancing with his “Socked in for Christmas” co-star, Melina Alves. The video was filmed a week after Samantha’s listed separation date in June.

Both Joey and Melina have released statements denying the affair rumors.
