Joie Chavis Welcomes Baby Girl, Her First Child with Trevon Diggs
Joie Chavis has welcomed a new addition to her family. The 35-year-old joyfully shared the news of her baby’s arrival on social media, opting not for a formal announcement but through Instagram’s story feature. She posted a heartwarming compilation of FaceTime calls, surprising her close friends and family with the news of her newborn baby girl.

She had earlier revealed her pregnancy in March 2024, identifying NFL player Trevon Diggs as the father. While this newborn is Chavis’ third child, it is Diggs’ first daughter. According to PageSix, Diggs has two sons, Aaiden and Chosen, from his previous relationships.
Chavis is no stranger to parenting, as she mothers her 13-year-old daughter Shai with rapper Bow Wow and her 5-year-old son Hendrix with rapper Future.
Last month, during the celebration of her baby shower, Chavis confirmed her breakup with Trevon Diggs. She addressed the split as “obvious” in the comment section of her photo. The pair sparked dating rumors back in September 2022 when Diggs celebrated her birthday on Instagram, and Chavis was also seen supporting him at one of his football games, donning custom merchandise with his name and photo.
Over the years, Chavis has been vocal about the public’s misconceptions regarding her relationships.
“Oh, she’s a gold digger, she’s just having these babies to secure a bag,” she joked during a Q&A session as reported by VIBE. “I have always worked since I was 15 years old; I don’t know what it’s like to not do anything. I don’t get any child support.”
Despite the labels, Chavis remains undeterred. “I think that’s the biggest misconception, and it doesn’t bother me at all. To the people who know me, obviously, I’m so much more than that,” she added.
