Jon Gosselin and Daughter Hannah Discuss Weight Loss and Reality Show Plans

Published: 3:38 PM PDT, July 16, 2024

Jon and Hannah Gosselin are sharing their wellness journey! In a recent interview, the father-daughter duo revealed they have collectively lost more than 75 pounds after embarking on a new lifestyle regimen in February.

Jon, now 47, has lost over 50 pounds, while his 20-year-old daughter, Hannah, has shed 25 pounds.

“I feel great,” Hannah expressed. “I’m really happy.”

Their success can be attributed to teaming up with Dan Holtz’s Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center. Here, they began a base semaglutide regimen. Jon also underwent several CellSound treatments and addressed his low testosterone. Beyond medical treatments, both Jon and Hannah committed to daily workouts and improved their eating habits.

They now follow a high-protein diet that includes protein shakes, bars, fiber, lean meats, and fish. Notably, they’ve significantly reduced their pasta consumption, limited soda intake, and avoided fast food altogether.

“It’ll be a short-term plan that’ll help us get to where we want to be,” Holtz said back in February. “Once we get to our goal, it’s really about teaching Jon the lifestyle and how to maintain healthier lifestyle choices.”

According to Hannah, the results of their efforts are evident.

“When I put on my pair of shorts that I wore two years ago, I danced around my room. I was so happy. It was the best feeling ever,” she said. “… You probably would not have caught me in a swimsuit last summer. I don’t even think I went to the beach. This summer, I’ve been spending my whole time at the pool, at the beach, and out with my friends. It really is a confidence booster to know that you look in the mirror and you’re happy with the way you look.”

Jon echoed Hannah’s sentiments, stating, “I think confidence level. I work out at the beach and sometimes I don’t wear a shirt because it’s 100 degrees outside now. Before, I would just sweat through it, now I take it off. I have these things called abs. They just appeared.”

Now content with their progress, Jon and Hannah are “weaning ourselves off of [the semaglutide] and actively changing our lives,” as Hannah put it.

Their partners provided significant support throughout their journey. Jon’s girlfriend, Stephanie Lebo, and Hannah’s boyfriend, Lennon Johnson, played supportive roles. Hannah got her workouts in by going to the gym with Lennon or walking his dog, while Jon’s physical transformation led him to contemplate taking the next step with Stephanie.

“I’m really comfortable right now, and I have my routine,” Jon said. “… I’ve been ready for a long time; I just want it very perfect and things to be in place. I’ve just never been in a relationship that was so easy.”

Jon even mentioned being open to teaming up with Stephanie for a reality show, though her participation might be part-time.

“I think she would be a part-timer. She’s definitely integrated, but filming a full show is a lot,” Jon observed. “I mean, we did it for years, so you know how much time it takes. And then two people work full-time jobs, and figuring out that schedule is a challenge.”

Jon speculated about what a potential show might look like. “I don’t have kids at home anymore. I have a very interesting career. I haven’t filmed a reality show since 2009, and you’re still interviewing me, so there is some kind of interest.”

“We thought about self-producing it on YouTube or something like that. I think if we would want to have editorial control, so we could decide what we would want to show publicly and still maintain our privacy,” he explained. “We don’t really have privacy now, so what’s the difference? If we’re gonna do these interviews or film our show and then do more interviews and other things, we might as well monetize it and reap the benefit. You can’t quit being famous. It doesn’t work.”
