Jonathan Bailey Shares NSFW Confession About His TV Prosthetic Penis

Jonathan Bailey isn’t shying away from the revealing details of his role.

The Fellow Travelers star—who recently snagged his first Emmy nomination for his supporting role in the Showtime limited series—divulged some interesting behind-the-scenes choices he made while portraying his character across four decades. Among these was the selection of the prosthetic penis he used for the show’s intimate scenes.

“There are these beautiful sex scenes throughout,” Jonathan emphasized during his appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers on August 15, “which are so important.”

He elaborated that these scenes play a crucial role in setting the stage for the decades-long love story between his character and that of Matt Bomer. As he discussed his unique prop choices, Seth Meyers humorously showed the audience a NSFW picture of multiple prosthetic options, jokingly referring to them as Jonathan’s “stunt doubles.”

Ultimately, the chosen prosthetic penis had to stand the test of time throughout the series.

“There’s so many things that change with Tim, the character I play,” Jonathan noted, adding that while his costume and hair undergo transformations, “there’s one thing that remained the same throughout.”
