Josh Hall Speaks Out on Unexpected Divorce, Chooses Not to ‘Bad-Mouth Anyone’

Christina Hall’s estranged husband, Josh Hall, has spoken out about their divorce for the first time.

On Friday, the 43-year-old Realtor took to Instagram to share his feelings about the separation from Christina, a prominent TV personality and his third wife. They split last month.

“I prefer privacy, especially during something as life-changing as a divorce I did not ask for,” Josh wrote, captioning a photo of himself and his dog, Stella.

“I will not publicly badmouth anyone as people have families, friends, and others who respect and love them. Unfortunately, the internet is forever,” he added.

He emphasized that they are real people and not there to entertain strangers with their private matters. Josh mentioned that the details would be handled fairly behind closed doors with their respective legal counsels.

He concluded, “Those who know each of us, know who we are.”

Christina has been vocal about her divorce from Josh, especially on social media. After her ex shared a message of “hope” on his Instagram Story, Christina had a fiery response.

Josh’s post showed an art piece spelling out “Hope,” with a prayer emoji and a blue heart emoji. Christina shared this on her story, adding, “I ‘HOPE’ she pays me millions more than what she’s already offered me,” hinting at their divorce settlement.

However, a source close to Josh told People magazine that his post was unrelated to their divorce. The insider explained the photo was taken at the cancer treatment center City of Hope, where Josh was visiting a terminally ill best friend, who is a cop.

The source noted that Christina was unaware Josh was at City of Hope and assumed he was in Nashville when she shared his post.

The former couple, who tied the knot secretly in October 2021 and held another ceremony in Hawaii in September 2022, cited irreconcilable differences in their divorce filings. Christina and Josh both filed for divorce on July 15. Josh listed their separation date as July 8, while Christina noted July 7 as the date.

Since filing for divorce, Christina has accused Josh of transferring $35,000 of her money into his personal bank account the day after their divorce filing. “I would not have asked him to send himself my money the day after I told him we are getting divorced,” she stated in court documents.

Josh has requested spousal support from Christina, but Christina believes her ex does not need it as he has his own income.

Christina elaborated in her court filing, “I understand that at some point this court may require that I pay some spousal support to Josh and reasonable attorney’s fees to his counsel. However, it is my belief that this is a simple case with straightforward accounting over a short period of time, any fees and costs should be minimal.”

She added that, like all hard-working mothers, her life revolves around her children and work. “It is my understanding that Josh has his own income and therefore he should not need any spousal support from me,” she said.

On social media, Christina also addressed the idea of replacing Josh with another ex as her co-star in her upcoming show, “The Flip Off.” Josh’s role in the show is now uncertain after their divorce filing.

In the comments section of a recent Instagram post, a fan suggested her second ex-husband, Ant Anstead, replace Josh on the show. Christina replied, “LOL that would be genius ‘ratings’ idea just saying,” hinting at the possibility.

Christina’s representative told Fox News Digital, “We’re not elaborating on her comments at this time.”

HGTV announced in May that Christina, Josh, Tarek El Moussa, and his wife Heather Rae Young would star in “The Flip Off,” currently being filmed. Following the divorce filing, a source revealed that Josh is no longer involved, and Christina, Tarek, and Heather are continuing without him.

Christina and Tarek, who co-starred in “Flip or Flop” for ten seasons, share daughter Taylor, 13, and son Brayden, 8. Although they divorced in 2018, they continued working together professionally until the show ended in 2022.

In October 2021, Tarek married Heather, a former “Selling Sunset” star. The couple welcomed their first child, son Tristan, in January 2023.

In December 2018, Christina married Anstead at their Newport Beach home, welcoming son Hudson in 2019. They separated in September 2020 and finalized their divorce in June 2021. Anstead has been dating Renee Zellweger since meeting on his show set in April 2021.
