Justin Baldoni Seen as Villain in New Claims About Blake Lively Drama

If you’re getting whiplash from the many claims about Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively, and the drama involving the It Ends With Us cast, join the club. Yet another source has come forward and, this time, Baldoni is getting called out.

TMZ reports that sources claim Lively was upset to learn that director and star Baldoni approached his on-set trainer to ask how much she weighed ahead of a scene in which he would be required to lift her. The outlet does, however, claim that Baldoni has a history of back problems and was concerned about an injury.

That said, sources claim that Lively, who gave birth to her fourth child with Ryan Reynolds shortly before filming began, felt body-shamed after hearing the comments.

TMZ also claimed that Lively felt uncomfortable when she felt that Baldoni lingered longer than necessary during a kissing scene. These claims are in line with an August 9 report from Page Six which claimed that Baldoni created an “extremely difficult” environment on set and made Lively feel “uncomfortable” about her postpartum body.

“It’s not just Blake,” a source told Page Six. “None of the cast enjoyed working with Justin… They certainly didn’t talk to him at the premiere.”

The allegations revealed by TMZ came hours after it was reported that Baldoni had hired a crisis PR expert, seemingly to navigate the fallout from the drama surrounding the box office hit. While many online have been turning on Lively and her husband, accusing them of attempting to control Baldoni’s project, sources have also been warning that there may be more to the story than meets the eye.

“All is not what it seems,” a set source shared with People. “There is much more to this story. The principal cast and Colleen Hoover will have nothing to do with him.”

However, when SheKnows talked to the film’s producer and screenwriter, Christy Hall, she had nothing but positive things to say about working with Baldoni. “I feel like he loved this story from the beginning and just regardless of what hat he’s wearing, just was doing everything that he could to get it right,” she said.
