Justin Long Admits He Once Pooped the Bed While Kate Bosworth Slept Beside Him

Justin Long has made an intriguing confession.

During a recent appearance on the PIE With Kurt Sutter and Katey Sagal podcast, the 46-year-old actor shared a rather humorous and embarrassing moment with his wife, Kate Bosworth. The couple, who tied the knot in May 2023 after confirming their engagement in March, had a rather unforgettable experience during a trip to Mexico City.

Long revealed that he had contracted food poisoning during the trip, leading to an unexpected mishap in bed. “I was hooked up to an IV, and [Kate] was having to follow me to the bathroom with the thing,” he shared. “It was like Dumb and Dumber. I was just, like, really comically unloading, and then, at one point that night, I woke up, and there’s no other way to say this, I can’t dance around it: I had s–t the bed. I had s–t the bed, and she was in the bed.”

Despite the less-than-ideal situation, Bosworth, 41, showed her unwavering support. She helped nurse her husband back to health, proving that she takes her “in sickness and in health” vows seriously. “She was, like, two feet away from me with this IV bag,” Long continued. “And she was holding it so patiently, and she was like: ‘Everything’s fine.’ And I thought about how much I loved her. I was like: ‘I just love this person, I’m so grateful to this person.'”

Even though Long felt embarrassed, Bosworth’s compassionate response made all the difference. “She was not judging, not making me feel weird, or bad, and I just felt so lucky, you know?” Long said. “I was s–tting my brains out, and she was looking at me lovingly, and I thought: ‘This is really romantic.'”

Bosworth helped Long clean himself up, convincing him to take a shower despite him only wanting to stay in bed. “She convinced me to take a shower after, you know, s–tting the bed,” Long recounted. “You know where all you want to do is be in bed? But I got myself in the shower, I cleaned off, and then she was on the phone with the doctor, and she saw me.”

Long continued to describe Bosworth’s caring demeanor, noting that she rarely has a judgmental approach to his behavior. “I could count on one hand how many times she’s had a judgmental approach to something that I was doing. But I saw her watch me get into bed, back into bed, into the same bed, onto my side. I was avoiding the spot, but I was still getting back into my filth.”

While many partners might have been put off by the incident, Bosworth’s dedication shone through. Even Long’s ex, Drew Barrymore, has commented on how the couple seems perfect for each other, calling them the “ultimate couple.”

Reflecting on their relationship, Bosworth described how they balance each other out in an episode of Hollywood Houselift With Jeff Lewis. “I always say like, he is the flow and I am the structure and those things work really well together,” she said. “If you were working with him, he’d be like, ‘Yeah, whatever, go for it.’ He’s the complete opposite. So we’re a good balance that way for sure.”

Long and Bosworth’s relationship is marked by mutual respect, support, and a shared sense of humor, even in the midst of uncomfortable situations. Their story has become a charming testament to the strength of their bond, captivating the hearts of many.
