Kaia Gerber Channels Mom Cindy Crawford on New York Date with Austin Butler

Kaia Gerber enjoyed a rare date night with her boyfriend Austin Butler on Thursday, July 11, when the duo attended the opening night of the Broadway production of Oh Mary!

Kaia, 22, who is the youngest daughter of Cindy Crawford, is making a name for herself as a blossoming actress. She looked every bit her mother’s daughter, wearing a cropped black top with flutter sleeves, a gray-striped midi skirt, and knee-high boots. Her long brunette hair, tousled and cascading over her shoulders, was reminiscent of Cindy’s iconic looks from the 1990s.

Oscar nominee Austin, 32, complemented Kaia’s look with a gray tee and black pants. The couple was seen holding hands tightly as they exited the theater.

Oh Mary! is a dark comedy featuring Cole Escola as Mary Todd Lincoln during the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination in 1865.

Kaia and Austin first sparked romance rumors in late 2021 and made their relationship public in March 2022. They mostly keep their relationship private. Kaia did not walk the red carpet in June for Austin’s new movie, The Bikeriders, but she attended the event to support him. The couple was spotted sharing a quick kiss before heading into the theater.

Austin and Kaia made their first major public appearance as a couple at W Magazine’s annual Best Performances party on March 24, 2022. They also attended the Met Gala together in May 2022.

Kaia has been a significant presence in Austin’s life, supporting him during his promotional campaigns, including at the Cannes Film Festival for Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic.

Kaia’s career began as a model at the age of 10 and she is the first model born in the 2000s to have achieved ‘The Big Four’ of Vogue covers: American Vogue, British Vogue, Vogue France, and Vogue Italia.

At age 15, she transitioned to acting, starring in her first show, Sister Cities. She has since appeared in Apple TV+’s comedy series Palm Royale, the 2023 comedy Bottoms, and American Horror Stories.

Kaia’s brother Presley is also a model, making his runway debut at the age of 16 in Moschino’s 2017 Cruise show. He has walked for well-known brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce & Gabbana, and Balmain. Their father is Rande Gerber.
