Kaley Cuoco’s $320K Fourth Engagement Ring Differs from Past Ones

Kaley Cuoco recently thrilled fans by announcing her engagement to Tom Pelphrey, despite having previously declared she was done with marriage.

The actress, best known for her role in “The Flight Attendant,” has been married twice before. Her first marriage to tennis player Ryan Sweeting lasted from 2013 to 2015, and her second to equestrian Karl Cook from 2016 to 2017. Prior to these marriages, she was engaged to addiction specialist Josh Resnik in 2011 but did not go through with the wedding.

Cuoco proudly displayed her new engagement ring, a dazzling piece given by Tom, who is also the father of their daughter, Matilda. Over the weekend, Tom proposed, and Cuoco shared the joyous news on her Instagram. She posted a photo of the couple smiling and touching noses, with her left hand prominently showing off the ring.

Experts have estimated the value of Cuoco’s engagement ring to be between $150,000 and $320,000, largely depending on the carat and clarity of the diamond. Mike Fried, CEO of The Diamond Pro, noted that the ring features a large rectangular diamond, likely an emerald or radiant cut, flanked by two smaller diamonds. Fried estimated the main diamond to be about 5 carats, valuing it around $150,000.

Furthermore, Zack Stone from Seven Stone suggested that the ring might be a 6-carat cushion-cut diamond, flanked by two baguette-cut diamonds set in an unconventional manner. Stone noted that the ring, designed by Tom and Shahla Karimi Jewelry, could be worth up to $320,000. He commented on the symbolic meaning behind the three-stone design, often representing a couple’s past, present, and future, which highlights the commitment between Kaley and Tom.

Laura Taylor from Lorel Diamonds added that the three-stone design might symbolize their small family unit—Kaley, Tom, and their child. Her estimation placed the value of the central four-carat stone and the two-carat flanking stones at around $320,000.

Cuoco and Pelphrey publicly confirmed their relationship in May 2022 after meeting at the Ozark premiere in April. By October, they announced they were expecting their first child, and their daughter Matilda was born on March 30, 2023. Fans have closely followed their relationship, but many were surprised by the engagement announcement, given Cuoco’s previous statements about not wanting to marry again.

In a 2022 interview with Glamour, Cuoco had said, “I will never get married again. Absolutely not. You can literally put that on the cover.” She expressed her desire for a long-term relationship or partnership, adding that she still believed in love and valued companionship.

Take a look back at Cuoco’s three former engagements. First, in October 2011, she got engaged to addiction specialist Josh Resnik. The relationship was kept relatively private, and the engagement ended shortly after they were spotted at the 2012 People’s Choice Awards with Resnik’s square-shaped diamond ring.

Next, she was engaged to tennis player Ryan Sweeting after three months of dating in September 2013. Despite not wanting to date after her relationship with Henry Cavill, Cuoco felt an immediate connection with Sweeting. He surprised her with a cushion-cut diamond ring, estimated to be worth $65,000. They married in December 2013 but divorced two years later.

Finally, Cuoco became engaged to equestrian Karl Cook in December 2017. Cook proposed with a pear-shaped diamond ring on her birthday, and Cuoco shared an emotional video of the moment on social media. They married in June 2018, but announced their separation in September 2021.

With her recent engagement to Tom Pelphrey, it seems Cuoco may have found a relationship that aligns with her values and beliefs, despite her previous reservations about marriage.
