Karina from Aespa Becomes Prada Brand Ambassador

Karina, the leader of K-pop girl group aespa, has been announced as the newest brand ambassador for Prada, the luxury fashion house revealed.

The 24-year-old, described by Prada as “one of the most talented female K-pop artists,” previously attended the Prada Men’s Fall/Winter 2024 show in Milan earlier this year. She joins a notable roster of Prada ambassadors including Enhypen, Jaehyun of NCT, Sana of Twice, soloist and former I.O.I member Jeon Somi, Hunter Schafer, Damson Idris, and Harris Dickinson.

Karina, both a rapper and singer, is a member of the SM Entertainment girl group aespa. Known for their futuristic and intricate concepts, the four-member group debuted in 2020 and has rapidly become one of the top global girl groups.

Earlier this summer, aespa released their first studio album, Armageddon, which brought them significant domestic success. Their pre-release single “Supernova,” a vibrant hyper-pop anthem, has maintained a top position on Korean music charts for months since its release.

Karina, along with the rest of aespa, is expected to be in Los Angeles in September for the upcoming Krazy Super Concert. Initially postponed earlier this year, the two-day K-pop concert recently confirmed that aespa, alongside acts like ZEROBASEONE, Sunmi, CL, and others, will participate in the rescheduled event. Aespa is one of the two groups set to perform on both nights of the concert.

The concert, now moved to Long Beach Arena from its original venue at BMO Stadium, will feature a new date. The inaugural Krazy Super Concert was held in August 2023 at New York’s UBS Arena.
