Kate Middleton‘s back in the public eye, making an appearance at Wimbledon—her second since sharing her cancer diagnosis. The crowd greeted her with an ovation fit for royalty.
The Princess of Wales arrived at the All England Club on Sunday for the men’s final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. As she made her way to her seat, the clip shows thunderous applause following her every step.
Her Royal Highness waved to the cheering audience for about 30 seconds. Many in the stadium captured the awe-inspiring moment on their phones.
Kate’s daughter, Princess Charlotte, joined her at the match. However, her husband Prince William and son Prince George were absent as they opted to watch a major soccer game in Berlin instead.
Middleton stepped away from her royal duties in March after disappearing from public view. She later posted a video on social media revealing her cancer diagnosis.
She did make an appearance at the Trooping of the Colour ceremony last month, but such public attendances have been few and far between.
By the way, Middleton also awarded Alcaraz with the trophy—his second consecutive win at Wimbledon. She chatted with the Spanish star after his victory over Djokovic in three sets.
It seems Kate is slowly coming out of her reclusion, though it remains unclear when she’ll fully resume her royal duties.
