Kate Middleton’s Secret Family Outing Reveals Their Well-Being Amid Recovery

While the Sussexes have been dominating the headlines recently with their international tours, the Wales family has been keeping a low profile. This has been due, in part, to their official royal break and Catherine, Princess of Wales (more commonly known as Kate Middleton), who is undergoing preventative chemotherapy. Many were left wondering what the family had been up to until they were recently spotted together at a festival.

Earlier this month, the Wales family was seen at the Gone Wild Festival held at Holkham Hall in Norfolk, which took place from August 8 to August 12. This festival is known for offering an amazing family-friendly weekend packed with live music, Nerf gun battles, axe throwing, experiments, and much more. It turns out the entire family of five attended and even participated in the activities. Kate was seen happily engaging in a Nerf battle with her children, running around and playing.

Georgina Barron, who heads the Norfolk Nerf Parties, revealed more details in a chat with the Daily Mail. She explained, “Norfolk Nerf played with the royal family at the Gone Wild Festival at Holkham Hall. The production team informed me that a very special VIP family had requested to play Nerf wars. Soon after, the Prince & Princess of Wales arrived with their three children, along with friends and family. They asked if we could provide a high-intensity, non-stop Nerf game, which we did our best to deliver.”

“I had my sons, Euan, Jenson, and Junior Barron, playing Nerf wars with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and the adorable Prince Louis. We ran around with Nerf guns and smoke bombs; it was an unforgettable experience,” Barron added. The family had requested no formal protocol, desiring a wholesome family day just like any other family. Kate grabbed a Nerf gun and played stuck in the mud with her children. Prince Louis was especially animated, shouting, ‘Come on, Nerf or nothing. Let’s do this!’”

It certainly appears that the family had a wonderful time together, continuing their family vacation. It also seems that Kate may be recovering well from her treatment, given how active she was during the festival. Here’s hoping for her swift recovery!

For those unfamiliar with their story, William and Kate have been a couple on and off since 2003. Since tying the knot, they have welcomed three children: George, 11, Charlotte, 9, and Louis, 6.

Kate has previously spoken about her family traditions on the podcast “Happy Mum, Happy Baby,” hosted by Giovanna Fletcher. In that conversation, she shared how her grandmother played a significant role in her upbringing by spending quality time with her, engaging in arts and crafts, gardening, and cooking. Kate aims to provide her own children with similar experiences.
