Kathy Hilton on Kyle Richards: ‘Hanging in There’ After Mauricio Photo

Kathy Hilton revealed she had to help calm her half-sister, Kyle Richards, after Mauricio Umansky was caught kissing another woman.

Hilton provided an update on Richards following the incident on July 18, when Umansky was photographed with another woman in Greece. Speaking to E! News, Hilton mentioned that Richards, who is known from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” is managing the situation, though it’s understandably challenging.

Reflecting on the situation, Hilton, 65, commented to Page Six at Sutton Stracke’s Sutton Green Label fashion show in Los Angeles, that “it was a hard pill to swallow” for Richards. She reassured her sister by saying, “You know this was bound to happen. You’ve been separated.”

Hilton added, “Kyle is hanging in there. I told her, ‘It won’t be the last. There’ll be many, many more.’ I think she’s fine. The bigger concern, she noted, is how their daughters will react to the news.

Reminding Richards that Umansky, 54, has the freedom to make his own choices during their separation, Hilton clarified that the new love interest, identified as 33-year-old model and actress Nikita Kahn, initiated the kiss at Mykonos Airport. Despite expecting such developments, the reality still stings.

Richards, known for her role in the “Halloween” movies, has been taking steps to move forward. She removed “Umansky” from her Instagram profile in early May, almost a year after announcing their split following 27 years of marriage. Her Instagram bio now reads, “Mom, actor, author, producer, animal lover, RHOBH, CAA,” with “wife” notably omitted.

The former couple shares three daughters: Alexia, 27, Sophia, 24, and Portia, 16. Richards also has a 35-year-old daughter, Farrah Brittany, from her previous marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie.

According to Hilton, she has been advising Richards to get back into the dating world. Observing that Umansky has started moving on, Hilton believes it’s time for Richards to do the same. “I said to her, ‘You’ve gotta get out there!'” Hilton shared. “If I were in her shoes after seeing that picture, I’d be out within three days.”
