Peacock has announced the continuation of its Emmy-winning comedy “Poker Face” into Season 2. The show will feature a roster of well-known guest stars including Katie Holmes, Kumail Nanjiani, and Sherry Cola. Other notable additions are Giancarlo Esposito, Gaby Hoffman, Kevin Corrigan, Ben Marshall, and Kathrine Narducci.

“Poker Face” is a mystery-of-the-week series with Natasha Lyonne as Charlie, a character with the unique ability to detect lies. She travels cross-country in her Plymouth Barracuda, encountering new characters and mysterious crimes that she can’t help but solve.

The first season premiered on Peacock in January 2023 to critical acclaim and quickly earned a ‘Certified Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It received four Primetime Emmy nominations, including Best Comedy Actress for Lyonne, and marked Peacock’s first Emmy win with Judith Light’s Best Comedy Guest Actress performance.

“Poker Face” is created by Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman of T-Street, their first venture into television. The show is produced by MRC and Natasha Lyonne’s production banner, Animal Pictures. Tony Tost serves as the showrunner and executive producer for Season 2, alongside Lyonne, Johnson, Bergman, Nena Rodrigue, Adam Arkin, Nora Zuckerman, and Lilla Zuckerman.

The premiere date for “Poker Face” Season 2 is yet to be announced, but it will be available for streaming on Peacock.
