The latest hearing regarding Katie Price’s bankruptcies has been adjourned to allow her to attend a “private interview” concerning her finances.

The former glamour model was scheduled to face questions from barristers in a specialist bankruptcy court on Tuesday during a public examination hearing.

However, the hearing was adjourned after Price’s lawyers requested she be given the chance to attend a private session with the barristers representing the trustee of her bankruptcies.

Leaving the courtroom in the Rolls Building in London, Price addressed journalists: “I hope you reporters write a good story today, won’t you, all the bullshit that you write, scumbags.”

During the hearing, Bertie Beor-Roberts, representing Price, said, “We are asking the court to adjourn the examination generally.”

He added, “The general purpose is to permit Ms. Price to attend a private interview with the trustee and then to continue to engage constructively. Ms. Price is keen on cooperating but it’s not going to be the best answer that she can give today. There is a limit to the amount she can give.”

Chief Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Nicholas Briggs consented to the adjournment and asked Price if she would commit to attending the private interview on September 24.

He stated, “It is important that the administration of justice is maintained, so if you fail to comply with the undertaking you will be at risk of being arrested.”

When asked if she would comply, Price responded, “I do.”

Dressed in all black and accompanied by another woman, Price did not respond to reporters’ questions as she exited the building in a black cab.

Mr. Beor-Roberts had earlier told the court that Price acknowledged issues in the proceedings but cited the case’s complexity. He expressed concerns that a public hearing could affect her “mental wellbeing and privacy” and exacerbate her health conditions.

He argued that Price could be more forthcoming in a private interview without media pressure, which would provide more valuable information to the trustee and help resolve the case.

Darragh Connell, representing the trustee, agreed that the hearing should be adjourned on the condition that Price attend the private session. He noted that Price had only instructed a barrister “less than 24 hours” before the hearing.

Connell said, “There has been an element of cooperation throughout proceedings. Since the arrest warrant, there has been more compliance.”

Price was first declared bankrupt in 2019, and in February this year, she was ordered to pay 40% of her monthly income from the adult entertainment website OnlyFans until February 2027 to help settle her debts.

She was declared bankrupt for the second time in March over an unpaid tax bill exceeding £750,000.

Earlier this month, she was arrested at Heathrow Airport following an arrest warrant issued in July for failing to attend a previous court date.

Judge Briggs had warned her on August 9 to attend Tuesday’s hearing without fail, or face another arrest.

Her ex-husband, Alex Reid, was also present at the hearing.
