Keith Urban Live at Buc-ee’s

This concert may not have reached the legendary status of The Beatles’ rooftop performance, but Keith Urban certainly thrilled fans with a surprise appearance.

Alongside the unique combination of beaver and brisket, Urban brought a touch of country charm to a Buc-ee’s in Athens, Alabama, as reported by WAFF.

Urban delivered a free pop-up concert at the highly-celebrated convenience store, much to the elation of local fans. The surprise event left many in the town buzzing with excitement.

One Instagram user aptly described it as “the most country thing I think I’ve seen.”

“It took a little bit trying to figure out if it was actually true or not,” Jessie Holland told WZDX. “We found some people that were passing by and said there really is a stage set up there, so here we are.”

For some fans, the event was anticipated, as Urban had announced his special concert on social media just a few hours before the first note played.

In addition to performing, Urban even got involved with the store’s famous brisket stand, enthusiastically shouting “FRESH BRISKET ON THE BOARD!!!!” He also took the time to learn the Buc-ee’s method of preparing their signature dish.

Urban shared with the crowd that he had visited the location about a month earlier. He thought, “it would be kinda fun to do a show there,” imagining a small gathering of 100 to 200 people. However, many more turned out, filling the parking lot hours before the show. According to WZDX, some fans began camping out at 3 p.m.

Earlier this year, Urban had announced plans for a tour of clubs and dive bars to coincide with the release of his single “Go Home W U,” as reported by Al.com. His latest album, “High,” is set to be released next month.
