Kelly Ripa’s daughter Lola recently caused quite a buzz on social media by posting a sun-filled photo where she ditched her bikini top.
The 23-year-old took full advantage of the warm weather, choosing to sunbathe while seemingly wearing nothing but a printed silk scarf over her hair.
In a follow-up image, Lola shifted positions, lying on her front with her arms tucked under her chin, while wearing an olive green bikini.
The two-piece was cleverly designed with high-rise bottoms and a bandeau top, ensuring there’d be no unwanted tan lines.
Referring to a popular TikTok audio clip, she captioned the photos: “Is this demure?”
Her mother Kelly was quick to respond, completing the viral phrase by adding: “It’s very mindful.”
Lola’s followers were quick to chime in, many noting how strikingly similar she looks to her famous mom. “Wow. I see your momma so much in your profile,” one commenter said. Another echoed, “You look like your mom here.” Yet another added, “Beautiful. Like your mom.”
Just last month, Lola returned to the United States after spending the past nine months living in London.
Her mom, Kelly, opened up about Lola’s return on LIVE during the July 29 episode. Playfully, she described it by saying “hurricane Lola blew back into town.” Kelly expressed disbelief over how long it had been since her daughter visited. “To me, she looks like Lola, she sounds like Lola. But we had a bunch of friends come over, and everybody said the same thing, ‘You sound so British!'”
Kelly added that although Lola doesn’t speak with a British accent, she has adopted British phrases. “I love it, but what’s funny is that all of our friends and all of her friends think she sounds fully British.”
Aside from Lola, Kelly and her husband Mark Consuelos are also parents to two sons: Michael, 27, who is an aspiring actor, and Joaquín, 21, a student at the University of Michigan.
The couple has been married since 1996, having eloped in Las Vegas just a year after meeting on the set of the soap opera “All My Children,” where they portrayed on-screen love interests Hayley Vaughan and Mateo Santos.
Kelly has often shared her conviction about knowing Mark was ‘the one’ even before meeting him. During an interview on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, she said, “I saw my husband in a photograph before I met him, and I knew. I wasn’t looking to get married, but when I saw him, the photograph of him, I saw my entire future with him flash before my eyes.”
She continued, “And I don’t believe in any of that, but now I do. Because of that moment.”
Despite the fairytale start to their relationship, Kelly has been candid about the challenges of maintaining a successful marriage. During an episode of “Live” co-hosted with Ryan Seacrest, she said, “Relationships, marriages are not sprints, it’s a marathon. There’s going to be mile 24 when you’re like, ‘I quit.’ But you just got to push through. Just push through.”
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos continue to exemplify lasting love in the public eye, balancing the demands of fame and family with grace and humor.
