Kendall Jenner and Tory Burch Discuss New Sublime Fragrance (Exclusive)

Kendall Jenner’s latest modeling endeavor highlights her essence: “confident, sensual, and strong.”

The 28-year-old supermodel is the face of Tory Burch’s new fragrance, Sublime. This empowering and luxurious scent features notes of leather, rose, osmanthus flower, vetiver, and mandarin.

Designer Tory Burch shared exclusively with PEOPLE that she had been “intrigued” by Jenner since their initial meeting during a shoot in 2016. Burch revealed that they discovered mutual values, such as a strong work ethic, love for family, animals, and sports.

The combination of Jenner’s “quiet power” and fearlessness inspired Burch to choose her as the face of Sublime.

Jenner expressed to PEOPLE that she’s embracing her authentic self daily. “Confidence starts with loving yourself and understanding that you’re worth everything beautiful in the world. I like to remind myself of that daily.”

The 34-second commercial is so evocative that viewers can almost smell the rich scent through the screen, which aligns perfectly with Burch’s vision.

Emotions, along with nature and memories, are key elements that inspire Burch when conceptualizing scents. This inspiration led her to incorporate leather as one of the main notes in Sublime, available for refills starting in 2025.

“While in Antigua, I found a vintage leather handbag in my mother’s closet. The scent was intoxicating, and I thought it was a great starting point for our fragrance. I wanted to create tension with the addition of unexpected notes: osmanthus, vetiver, rose, and a slight touch of mandarin. The juxtaposition makes it addictive.”

“Sublime reflects how I see women today. They are coming into their own and embracing their individuality, uninterested in anything predictable,” Burch adds.

The bottle, an “abstract” interpretation of Tory Burch’s signature double “T” logo, was designed to evoke feelings. “I wanted it to be sculptural and architectural, something that would look beautiful on your vanity,” explains Burch. “There is a purity that I love, with a twisted logo that represents the evolution of our brand.”

Burch continues, “My approach to fragrance mirrors my design philosophy: I am interested in unusual contrasts, reimagined classics, and building confidence. I want women to feel powerful above anything else.”

Ultimately, Sublime — the fragrance and the collection, which also includes the Embrace Ambition bracelet with proceeds supporting the Tory Burch Foundation for women entrepreneurs — is about making women feel empowered and stylish.
