Kenny Chesney "Sickened" by False Claim of Ownership in Real Estate Listing

A real estate listing recently made headlines with a misleading claim that a house in Brentwood, Tennessee had ties to country music star Kenny Chesney. The property, listed by luxury home auction company Interluxe, was advertised for $3.5 million. Previously on the market for $10.5 million, the house boasts an array of luxurious amenities and sits on over seven acres of land.

The home, built in 2018, includes five bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, a screened-in porch, a golf simulator, a guest house, a movie room, a gym, tennis courts, and a stocked pond. Located approximately 10 miles south of Nashville in Brentwood, the property is stunning both inside and out.

The listing’s description mentioned that Chesney once owned a small piece of land with a writing cabin adjacent to the mansion’s location, implying that the superstar had some connection to the grand estate. However, Chesney swiftly issued a statement to clarify that he had no ties whatsoever to the property. He explained that while he did indeed own a small parcel of land next to it, he has since sold it, and neither he nor anyone in his employ has ever inhabited or used the current buildings.

Chesney’s statement read: “After multiple attempts by my team, working through the media to correct and clarify a blatantly false claim about my ownership and involvement for a property being put up for auction in Brentwood… I once owned a small adjacent parcel of land that has been annexed. No part of these buildings being auctioned were ever inhabited, used for writing or any other purpose by myself or anyone in my employ or orbit. I have been used as clickbait to exploit people who might care about my name, art, or other aspect of life – and I have a massive problem with this sort of deception.”

He continued: “That someone issued a press release does not make it true. In fact, it just makes it actionable, as they’ve misrepresented and widely distributed a fairy tale that’s light years from reality. Since discretion and trying to avoid serving a cease and desist letter has not worked, I want to make sure everyone is clear. For anyone looking at this dwelling, as well as the land it sits on, please know: I have never been inside any part of it. You will not be accessing anything that has any emotional or personal attachment in terms of my life, and I am sickened that this was warranted as such. Anyone who has reached out for that reason – please be advised, this property has nothing to do with me.”

In spite of Chesney’s clarification and attempts to correct the false claims, the listing on the company’s website still erroneously states that the property has connections to him. The description inaccurately reads: “The 320 sq. ft. guest cabin with one bedroom, a full bathroom, and kitchen provides additional privacy for the short- or long-term guests. This cabin was imagined and built for Kenney Chesney for the purpose of songwriting,” even misspelling his name.

Photos of the property demonstrate its appeal without needing any falsely attributed celebrity connections. The estate itself is more than capable of standing out due to its luxurious nature and beautiful surroundings.
