Kevin Bacon has portrayed a variety of iconic roles throughout his career and has undergone numerous transformations, particularly with his hair. From “Footloose” to “Apollo 13” and “Beauty Shop,” he has adapted to a myriad of different characters and hairstyles.

Feeling nostalgic, Bacon took to Instagram to share a throwback of his various hairstyles over the years. The post featured photos ranging from his long hair in “Flatliners” to the classic voluminous 80s look from “Footloose.” It also included his crazy blonde look in “Beauty Shop” and even a young photo of him with long straight hair and curtain bangs.

The star captioned the photo: “I’ve gone through a few hairstyles throughout the years… which is your favorite? #tbt”.

However, fans could not agree on a favorite among Bacon’s many looks. Deciding on the ultimate Kevin Bacon hairstyle proved to be as difficult as choosing a favorite child, sparking debates in the comments.

“First one. Definitely,” commented one fan, referring to his look in “Flatliners.” Another agreed, explaining: “It’s the same style he had when I first saw him on my tv. Might have only been 7/8 but made a big impression on me.”

Others showed a preference for his “Footloose” hairstyle instead, with one fan commenting: “Footloose. Hands down,” and another adding that they loved the Ren McCormack look.

One fan expressed a similar sentiment: “Footloose. But Jorge with his Yagyuar is a close second!”

The look from “Beauty Shop” was perhaps Kevin’s most dramatic transformation, where he played Jorge with wavy, bleach-blond hair—a quirky look paired with beachy clothes. One fan noted: “The Cobain is classic,” referring to this eccentric style, while another added, “I’m digging the long blonde hair.”

Despite undergoing numerous transformations over the years, Kevin Bacon remains one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood, learning to embrace his changing looks.

Interestingly, Bacon once disguised himself as an ordinary person for a day, only to find he did not enjoy the experience at all.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, he explained, “I’m not complaining, but I have a face that’s pretty recognizable. Putting my hat and glasses on is only going to work to a certain extent.”

In an effort to live anonymously for a day, he consulted a special effects makeup artist to create a prosthetic disguise.

However, the reality of being ordinary was unappealing, as he jokingly remarked, “People were kind of pushing past me, not being nice. Nobody said, ‘I love you.’ I had to wait in line to buy a coffee or whatever. I was like, This sucks. I want to go back to being famous.”
