Kevin Hart Reveals Hilarious Courtside Insults to Draymond Green, Kevin Durant

Comedy is a demanding industry and a difficult art form to perfect. Few comedians make it so big that they can seamlessly cross over into other cultural spheres. Kevin Hart paid his dues, honed his craft, and struck a tone that allowed him to become one of those household names. Now, he frequently shares his courtside antics at NBA games, often targeting star players with his sharp wit.

This transition marks the pinnacle of success for a stand-up comedian. The Chase and DraftKings spokesperson is known for his boisterous presence at games, and he’s revealed some of the playful insults he hurls at some of the sport’s top players.

Hart often focuses on the physical appearances of his targets, a subject matter familiar to many professional funny men. He first set his sights on Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green. “He has the face of a senior citizen and the body of a young man,” Hart joked on Bleacher Report’s “Taylor Rooks X” podcast. ‘”Shut your old face a** up, Draymond.’ That’s what I would say to him.”

The two-time Grammy nominee for Best Comedy Album also took a jab at the reigning NBA MVP, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets. “Get your bad knee, old hip a** out of here,” he remarked. “You just got to say it fast, that’s how you get under their skin.”

Hart’s most cutting remarks were reserved for some of the league’s more enigmatic superstars.

He brutally mimicked Kawhi Leonard’s famously unique laugh in only the way Hart can. “He laughs like he’s in pain.”

After poking fun at Leonard, whom he sarcastically nicknamed “Captain Smiles,” Hart was asked by Taylor Rooks what he would say to another two-time Finals MVP. His response was equally biting.

“KD’s got the shoulders of a child star tennis player,” he quipped about Kevin Durant. “I love you KD.” Durant has heard numerous jokes about his slender physique, so it’s unlikely this would bother him too much. However, Durant has been known to respond to criticism on social media, so a retort isn’t out of the question.

Many might agree this isn’t Hart’s best material. Yet, as a natural performer who knows how to command a room, Hart can still entertain the masses. That’s the hallmark of a top-tier talent. True greats leave fans with something memorable, even when they’re not at their peak.

With his hometown team, the Philadelphia 76ers, going all in after adding Paul George in free agency, the NBA should expect to see Kevin Hart in full attack mode next season. However, given the nature of his impromptu roasts, some backlash is almost inevitable.
