NCIS season 21 is now available on DVD, complete with exciting features that fans are sure to love. Not only can you relive the magic of all ten episodes, but you also get to experience one episode featuring audio commentary from the cast and crew involved with the series.

The season opens with Agent Nick Torres confronting an unwelcome figure from his past. Shortly afterward, the team bids farewell to their beloved friend and colleague, Dr. Mallard. Despite the season being shortened due to the writer’s strike, it still delivered numerous captivating stories centered around each of the main characters.

As the season finale left some character arcs in suspense, the DVD is a perfect way to revisit season 21 before NCIS season 22 premieres on October 14, 2024.

The DVD set comprises three discs. The first disc includes the episodes “Algún Día,” “The Stories We Leave Behind,” and “Lifeline.” Special features on this disc highlight episode 2, which follows the team as they grieve the loss of Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard, portrayed by the late David McCallum.

The special feature for this disc, entitled “Farewell Ducky: Celebrating David McCallum,” serves as a heartfelt tribute to the actor and his iconic character. This tribute is a beautiful way to honor a man audiences grew to love over 20 seasons.

Additionally, there’s audio commentary for Ducky’s tribute episode, featuring NCIS star Brian Dietzen and Scott Williams, who co-wrote the episode.

Disc 2 offers four episodes: “Left Unsaid,” “The Plan,” “Strange Invaders,” and “A Thousand Yards.” One special feature on this disc involves actress and director Daniela Ruah, who starred as Kensi Blye in NCIS: Los Angeles and directed episodes of NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i.

This special feature, “Ruah’s Rules: Directing NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i,” gives viewers an inside look at how Ruah worked behind the scenes on the episodes she directed for both shows.

The final disc contains the episodes “Heartless,” “Prime Cut,” and “Reef Madness.” There are two special features on this disc, including one focused on stunts. The first special feature offers an in-depth look into the season with “21 Seasons and Counting: An Inside Look At NCIS Season 21.” The second is titled “NCIS in Action: Behind the Stunts.”

Overall, the DVD includes engaging behind-the-scenes insights into the show’s production, running for a total of 36 minutes. The episode runtime amounts to 7 hours, making it feasible to binge-watch season 21 in a day, whether you have some free time or want it on while completing daily tasks.
