However, Cattrall was quick to debunk these rumors. After an enthusiastic fan shared the Elle article on X (formerly Twitter), Cattrall responded directly to set the record straight, writing, “Aw that’s so kind,” before adding, “but I’m not.”

Cattrall has had a complicated relationship with her Sex and the City castmates since the series concluded with the 2010 film Sex and The City 2. Her legendary character, Samantha, made a brief appearance in one scene during Season 2 of And Just Like That, where Samantha and Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw shared a phone conversation.

Cattrall’s appearance was a shock to many, given her longstanding feud with Parker, which has been well-documented and frequently made headlines over the years. Her character did not appear in the first season of And Just Like That, although Samantha was referenced.

Parker had previously commented on the notion of Cattrall joining the cast, suggesting it was improbable. In a conversation with Variety, Parker was asked if she would consider welcoming her former castmate back to the new show. “I don’t think I would, because I think there’s just too much public history of feelings on her part that she’s shared,” Parker responded.
