King Charles and his granddaughter Princess Charlotte have been spotted wearing matching friendship bracelets. The Prince and Princess of Wales’s daughter wore two pastel-colored bracelets in pink and sage green as she attended the Wimbledon men’s singles final on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the monarch was seen wearing a twisted red and lemon-yellow version during his recent two-day visit to the Channel Islands with his wife Queen Camilla.
Given the close bond between the monarch and his grandchildren, it’s possible that Charles’s colorful new accessory was a charming gift from nine-year-old Charlotte.
Charles, 75, and Camilla, 77, began their visit in Jersey before moving on to Guernsey, where Her Majesty wore a bandage on her right ankle due to a reported sprain.
In Jersey, the duo attended a special sitting of the States Assembly and the Royal Court in the capital, St Helier. They also toured an open-air expo that showcased the best of Jersey, focusing on key areas such as agriculture, fishing, aquaculture, and the island’s journey to net zero.
In Guernsey, they attended a Special Sitting of the States of Deliberation of Guernsey’s Parliament. They also sampled local produce, met with royal well-wishers, and attended a tea party.
Over the years, King Charles has received numerous thoughtful gifts from his loved ones. In December 2022, he stepped out in Sandringham sporting a candy-pink tie adorned with pastel blue dinosaurs.
It was the first time the monarch debuted the accessory, leading many to believe that it was chosen by his grandchildren. Prince George, in particular, has a fondness for all things prehistoric, inspired by his encounter with David Attenborough.
Prince William once mentioned to the BBC, “He was brilliant with the children when he met them. He brought out his fossil collection and showed the children that, which George absolutely adored – he’s got loads of dinosaur fossils.”
In another heartwarming moment, The Telegraph reported in November last year that the monarch received a recorded video of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet singing ‘Happy Birthday’ in honor of his special day.
