“Super Gremlin” may be one of Kodak Black’s biggest hits, but he won’t be performing it anytime soon. As the Florida native explained, he’s come to hate the song as he strives to become sober.

“I’m about to stop performing ‘Super Gremlin,’ period,” he said.

“I hate that lil’ s—t. I’m sober for the most part…And I say this, like, around my people them so they know that [it’s] serious. I could talk about it now. You feel me? For the most part, [I’m] sober, brother.”

As recently as last year, Kodak Black was arrested for cocaine possession, but it seems prescription drugs were causing him the greatest problem. At one point, the chart-topping star said, “I was chewing 100 percs a day, man. [On] [a]verage, [I was chewing] like 40.”

“I remember a point in my life when I was chewing a lot of Percs,” he said in April.

“Bro, I’m proud of myself. I’ve never been this happy in my life, bro. I don’t know where this came from, what the fuck going on. I ain’t even going to say I’m anti-Perc. Like, I never took a Perc since I been home. But bro, my dosage so low that I can’t believe it myself. Man, I’m telling y’all, bro.”

As he continues to work toward sobriety, he hopes his decision will inspire others to do the same.

“That’s motivation for n—s to feel like if the Gremlin could do it…Y’all could do it,” he explained.
