Kordell Beckham Shines in the Spotlight
Kordell Beckham, the younger brother of NFL superstar Odell Beckham Jr., is basking in the limelight after winning the latest season of Love Island USA with his new girlfriend, Serena Page. The victory comes with an exciting sponsorship deal with none other than Cheez-It. For Beckham, who has long aspired to carve out his own identity distinct from his famous sibling, this is a dream come true.
As reported by D Magazine, Beckham is on the verge of achieving his dreams. His best friend, Jay-Ron Tanner, shared with the magazine, “We’ve always talked about this, him blowing up and doing his thing, and it not revolving around his brother. It was just something that was destined to happen. He has too big of a personality for him not to be out in the world.”
Initially, Beckham had the opportunity to appear on Love Island when he was just 19 years old in 2021. His godmother, Karen Alford, advised against it, believing he should be more settled in Dallas first. When the producers approached him again, Beckham seized the chance, leading to a life-changing experience.
“I was thinking to myself, because I like working, ‘What if I go back to [refueling planes] after [Love Island USA]?’ and then I realized I probably can’t do that,” Beckham pondered. “Just imagine me in the vest, refueling the plane, and everyone is like, ‘Hey, is that Kordell?’”
Additionally, according to TODAY, Beckham’s long-held aspiration of being sponsored by Cheez-It has also come to fruition. After their Love Island USA victory, Beckham pitched his idea for a new Cheez-It flavor in a Tik-Tok video.
In the video, Beckham proposed, “I have a flavor that I’ve been thinking about that y’all could make, Spicy white cheddar.”
Cheez-It responded enthusiastically, hinting at a potential collaboration, “He’s even wearing the Cheez-It red.”
On August 19, the company announced its partnership with Beckham on a Kordeezy Cheesy Couple bundle promotion. The bundle, which includes two of Beckham’s favorite flavors—White Cheddar and Hot & Spicy Cheez-Its—was made available online on August 20, starting at 11 a.m. EST, until supplies last.
Despite his rising fame, Beckham remains committed to nurturing his relationship with Serena Page. Interestingly, the two grew up in close proximity to each other in Houston.
Page mentioned that Beckham has already met some of her family members during their time in Los Angeles, although he hasn’t yet met her father and brother.
“I’ve been in L.A. for about a year and a half now, but my life is in Houston,” Page told Chron.com. “He’s met my mom, sister, and my niece in person [while in L.A.], but he didn’t get a chance to meet my dad and my brother, who are the two most important people.”
Reflecting on how his life has changed so dramatically, Beckham remarked, “It still hasn’t hit me yet. Everything is kind of normal but different.”
