Kris Jenner’s Health Explained After Tumor Discovery

Kris Jenner’s health has recently become a talking point among fans after she disclosed that doctors discovered a tumor in her ovary. The emotional revelation occurred during a season 5 episode of The Kardashians. The 68-year-old momager broke the news to her children, sharing her need for a medical procedure. This has left many wondering if Kris might be facing a cancer diagnosis.

In episode 7 of season 5, Kris tearfully confided in her children about the tumor’s discovery. “I wanted to tell you guys something. I went to the doctor and had my scan,” she began before becoming emotional. “They found, and this just makes me really emotional but, they found a cyst and a little tumor on my ovary.”

The news was a tough pill to swallow for the reality TV star, as she acknowledged that health changes like these come with aging. “It’s a whole chapter that’s just closed,” she remarked.

Amid the emotional turmoil, Kris discussed the medical advice she received. Speaking to her daughters Kim, Khloé, and Kendall, she explained that the recommended course of action was to have her ovaries “taken out.” Kris said, “Dr. A said I’ve gotta have my ovaries taken out, and I’m emotional about it because they came in handy with you guys. That’s where all my kids were conceived and that’s where they were grown, in my tummy. So, this is a very sacred place to me.”

The moment was poignant for the entire family. Khloé called Kourtney to share the news, leading Kourtney to reflect on the situation. “I totally understand how my mom is feeling because I would feel the same way,” Kourtney said. “It’s your womanly power and it doesn’t mean that it’s taking away who she is or what she’s experienced, but I would feel this sentimental feeling of what it’s created.”

Despite the overwhelming emotions, Kris has not confirmed whether the tumor indicates cancer. She reassured her family, saying, “I’m gonna be fine. Listen, if I can get through the hip replacement, I can get through this. I’m not nervous to be put to sleep. I’m not nervous with Dr. A; she’s the best doctor in the world. But then you go to do it and … it’s so real.”

“People often ask me what is the best job I’ve ever had, and I’ve always said: Mom,” Kris reflected. “The biggest blessing in my life was being able to give birth to six beautiful kids.”

This isn’t Kris’s first health challenge. She previously went through hip replacement surgery, which she discussed during season 2 of The Kardashians. In the 2022 season, viewers learned she was experiencing “excruciating” pain in her hip, prompting her decision to undergo surgery. Following the procedure, she made a seemingly quick recovery.

Fans are undoubtedly concerned for Kris, but her resilient spirit and family support suggest she will face this new challenge with the same strength she has shown in the past.
