Kwik Trip vs. Keith Urban vs. Buc-ee’s: The Showdown

Kwik Trip gas station has sparked a social media storm after calling out country music icon Keith Urban for his curious fashion choice during a recent performance in Wisconsin.

Let me start by admitting that I have never visited a Buc-ee’s gas station. In contrast, I have frequented Kwik Trip countless times, and I am absolutely in love with their Dunkers, Glazers, and cinnamon rolls.

Many people rave about Buc-ee’s gas stations and are excited about a massive Buc-ee’s being constructed in the Madison area. However, given that Kwik Trip was founded and is headquartered in Wisconsin (while Buc-ee’s hails from Texas), my loyalty lies with Kwik Trip.

Essentially, Wisconsinites take their gas stations seriously, and the rivalry with Buc-ee’s is quite intense. So, when one of our own calls out Keith Urban, it’s bound to receive a lot of attention.

Just when I was getting over my FOMO from missing Keith Urban’s performances at Summerfest in Milwaukee and Country Fest in Cadott, a social media post from Kwik Trip made me laugh and feel jealous all over again.

Before diving into Kwik Trip’s actions, let’s see the post from Keith Urban that started it all…

Cool pictures, right? Let’s zoom in on one of them. Do you see what’s written on Keith’s t-shirt?

Kwik Trip certainly did, and their response was spot on…

“We gotchu.” This was Kwik Trip’s response, hinting that they noticed Keith Urban wearing a Buc-ee’s shirt during his Wisconsin performance. To address this fashion faux pas, Kwik Trip decided to send Keith some of their own merchandise. Here’s how they addressed the envelope:

LOL! Do you think Keith Urban learned his lesson and will refrain from wearing a Buc-ee’s shirt in Wisconsin in the future?

Well played, Kwik Trip. You made Wisconsin proud!
