Lacey Chabert’s 10th Hallmark Film with Brennan Elliott: ‘His & Hers’

Lacey Chabert is keeping busy these days with several exciting projects. Her first reality series on Hallmark+, Celebrations With Lacey Chabert, is set to premiere in mid-September on the recently rebranded streaming platform. This Christmas, Chabert will appear in two movies: Hallmark’s The Christmas Quest alongside Kristopher Polaha, and her first Netflix movie, a holiday romantic comedy entitled Hot Frosty.

However, the most thrilling news for her fans is that she has recently completed filming her tenth movie with Brennan Elliott. The romantic comedy, titled His & Hers, features Chabert and Elliott playing a married couple who are both lawyers. Their normally happy lives become complicated as they each represent a couple going through a messy and public divorce.

Chabert was enthusiastic about working with Elliott again, telling First For Women that playing a married couple felt natural due to their long history of working together. “It was so wonderful to reunite with Brennan. He’s a dear friend and it’s great to go to work with a friend, especially when you’re playing a married couple,” she said. “Sometimes, you’re meeting your costar for the first time on set and you have to create this comfort, but with Brennan, that trust is already there.”

The two actors have already shared social media posts as their characters, high-powered lawyers Dana and Mark. This movie will be part of Hallmark’s Fall Into Love programming, set to air in early Fall.

As for future projects, fans have been eagerly anticipating more Crossword Mysteries. However, both Chabert and Elliott are involved in other Hallmark Mystery projects for the time being. Elliott is set to star in his own yet unannounced mystery series with Muse Entertainment, while Chabert stars alongside Will Kemp in The Dancing Detective. Kemp has previously mentioned that a second movie is in the works.

Chabert has found new challenges working in her first reality series, which she shared with some amusement. “I’m not used to being the one asking the question! When there’s no script and you’re interviewing someone, you have to really listen and be ready to go with the flow of the conversation. It was challenging, but I just leaned into my love of getting to know people and hearing what their journey has been,” she said.

Hallmark will be announcing its Fall Into Love programming lineup in the coming weeks, which promises a season full of heartwarming stories and familiar faces.
