Lady Gaga Sings ‘A Star Is Born’ Song from Limousine Roof in Paris

Lady Gaga and some of her fans found themselves in an impromptu sing-along during her visit to Paris amid the 2024 Olympic Games.

On Saturday, July 27, the singer, 38, was spotted by fans as she drove down a Paris street next to her hotel in a limousine. In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by an onlooker, fans could be heard singing "Always Remember Us This Way" from the soundtrack of her 2018 film A Star Is Born.

After a few moments of the fans serenading Gaga with the song — as they belted out the lyrics, "But all I really know / You’re where I wanna go / The part of me that’s you will never die" — the Grammy winner popped her head out of the roof of the vehicle, wearing dark sunglasses and a slicked-back blonde hairstyle, and sang along with them.

As the song finished and all the fans cheered, the Joker: Folie à Deux actress blew some kisses out toward the crowd and waved.

On Sunday, July 28, the musician revealed that she is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, entrepreneur and tech investor Michael Polansky, after sharing the news with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal at the Olympics.

In a TikTok posted by the politician on Sunday, she can be heard introducing Polansky as "my fiancé" as the trio watched a swimming event together.

The Grammy winner has spent the last several days in Paris, as she was revealed to be one of the surprise performers at the Olympics opening ceremony on Friday, July 26.

That day, she delivered a performance of Zizi Jeanmaire’s "Mon Truc en Plumes" alongside the Seine river, wearing an all-black Dior Haute Couture look complete with fuzzy pink pom-poms for her backup dancers from Le Lido, a French cabaret theater.

Shortly after her cover of the Jeanmaire classic was broadcast around the world, Gaga posted a message on Instagram and reflected on her moment at the opening ceremony.

"I feel so completely grateful to have been asked to open the Paris @Olympics 2024 this year," she wrote alongside photos of her Dior look. "I am also humbled to be asked by the Olympics organizing committee to sing such a special French song — a song to honor the French people and their tremendous history of art, music and theatre."

"Although I am not a French artist," Gaga added in part. "I have always felt a very special connection with French people and singing French music — I wanted nothing more than to create a performance that would warm the heart of France, celebrate French art and music, and on such a momentous occasion remind everyone of one of the most magical cities on earth — Paris."

"Congratulations to all the athletes who are competing in this year’s Olympic Games!" she concluded. "It is my supreme honor to sing for you and cheer you on!! Watching the Olympic Games always makes me cry! Your talent is unimaginable. Let the games begin!"
