Lady Gaga to Release First Single from New Album in October

Lady Gaga announced that she will be releasing the first single from her upcoming seventh studio album in October.

Gaga, who arrived in Venice over the weekend for the premiere of “Joker: Folie et Deux,” shared the exciting news on Instagram. She posted a photo of her Venice schedule and marked “XX October: LG7 first single” on it, hinting that the album might be released late this year or in early 2025.

This new song follows her recent surprise single with Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile.”

Although not much has been revealed about her new album, it’s clear Gaga has been working diligently on it for several months, sharing numerous posts from her studio sessions.

A spokesperson told Variety that “Die With a Smile” will not be included on the new album. Gaga elaborated in a press release, saying, “I was finishing up my own album in Malibu and one night after a long day, Bruno asked me to come to his studio to hear something he was working on. It was around midnight when I arrived, and I was blown away by what he had started. We stayed up all night and finished writing and recording the song.”

It appears that Grammy-winning songwriter-producer Andrew Watt might be involved with Gaga’s new project. Known for his work with the Rolling Stones, Elton John, and Ozzy Osbourne, Watt posted on social media about the Gaga-Bruno collaboration. Additionally, a photo of Gaga in the studio with longtime collaborator Bloodpop and vocal producer Benjamin Rice surfaced last fall.

At the premiere of the “Chromatica Ball Film,” Gaga shared, “I have written so many songs and I have produced so many songs.” She further stated, “It’s nothing like anything that I’ve ever made before.” Gaga enjoys breaking genres and exploring new musical territories, and she added, “There’s something really beautiful about knowing that you will be loved no matter what you do.”
