Lainey Wilson Keeps The Ring in Teaser for Unreleased Song “Ring Finger”

Last night, Lainey Wilson shared a snippet of an upcoming song from her album “Whirlwind,” set to release this Friday, August 23rd. The track, titled “Ring Finger,” is a cheeky and bold tune that highlights Wilson’s trademark humor and wit. In the song, she gives a nod to women who have left their unworthy partners but kept the engagement rings. With lines directly referencing The Chicks’ classic “Goodbye Earl,” she sings:

“This here song’s for all the girls
Who had the balls to walk away from Earl
Bigger nuts than a redneck squirrel
Let me hear it if you know what I mean
Ya lost your man but you took the bling bling
I got the ring, he got the finger…”

The song blends Lainey’s sense of humor with a funky production style that fits her Louisiana roots. It draws similarities to her lesser-known track “Middle Finger,” which she discussed recently.
