Lainey Wilson Reveals If She’s Returning to ‘Yellowstone’

Lainey Wilson has hinted at her return to Yellowstone for the upcoming second half of Season 5.

In a recent chat with Entertainment Tonight, Cassie DiLaura directly asked the “Hang Tight Honey” singer if series creator Taylor Sheridan had reached out to her to reprise her role as Abby, a singer.

Wilson, trying to be coy, shared, “I can’t wink, but I’m doing something with my eye right now,” laughing as she trailed off.

“It’s good news, I’ll tell you that,” she continued more seriously, noting that she needs to coordinate with her busy schedule involving recording and touring.

“Honestly, I don’t know exactly when they’re gonna start back up, but the truth is, we’re just trying to make sure that we have enough time to get in there and get it done, ’cause we’ve still got a lot going on right now. But it’s a priority.”

Wilson made her acting debut as Abby at the start of Yellowstone’s Season 5. Her character was a love interest for Dutton ranch hand Ryan (Ian Bohen). She had her first onscreen kiss as part of that role and discussed her main rule for the scene on the Dutton Rules podcast.

Wilson mentions that she hasn’t talked to Bohen about her possible return yet.

The highly anticipated second half of Yellowstone Season 5 is currently filming in Montana, as multiple cast members have confirmed. The new episodes are set to premiere on Paramount Network on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 8PM ET.

The first half of Season 5 premiered in late 2022, but the second half was delayed for over a year due to scheduling conflicts with series creator Taylor Sheridan’s other projects. These conflicts also led to a public dispute with series star Kevin Costner.

Costner has since confirmed his departure from the show, prompting Sheridan to decide to end the series. The upcoming episodes will conclude Yellowstone, with a sequel reportedly featuring Matthew McConaughey in the works.
