Lainey Wilson Treats Fans at Local Cafe for Her New Album ‘Whirlwind’ Release

Grab your morning brew before diving into the new tunes. Lainey Wilson has just released her fifth studio album, Whirlwind, this Friday. To mark the occasion, the Queen of Bell Bottom Country decided to treat her community in a unique way. Lainey stopped by her local Starbucks in Franklin, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville, and surprised her fellow patrons by opening a tab to cover their morning coffees.

In addition to this delightful gesture, Lainey has also partnered with Starbucks to curate a Spotify playlist. This playlist includes not only tracks from her new album but also some of her personal favorite songs, offering a rich blend of musical delight.

Whirlwind is aptly named, reflecting the incredible journey that Lainey has been on over the past few years. From her breakout album Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’ in 2021 to bagging the Entertainer of the Year title at both the CMA Awards and ACM Awards, Lainey’s rise has indeed been meteoric.

The new album is a testament to the talent that has catapulted Lainey into the upper echelons of country music. Lainey feels a sense of growth and evolution with this release. She shared,

“I’m learning how to just trust myself. Not that I haven’t trusted myself in the past, but I’ve also learned that go to different places. I mean, this year we’ve already toured Australia, UK, Europe, and I get to meet so many different types of people from all over.
And the more I do that, the more I realize that we all actually have a lot more in common than you think. And I think I’ve learned to just lean into those things and not be scared to stay true to myself. Of course, stay true to my story and my roots, but not be scared to color outside of the lines.
I don’t want to play things safe. I think you should show that you’re growing and changing. And I think, for the most part, with this record, we do have that constant thing that has worked for us. But I think we just leveled up.”

Lainey’s momentum shows no signs of slowing. Luckily, she’s always got a coffee shop nearby for a needed caffeine boost.
