The Lake Mary Little League team from Florida has emerged victorious, clinching the Little League World Series championship on Sunday with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Chinese Taipei. This triumph marks Florida’s first-ever World Series title, culminating in a weekend of intense competition where they defeated Texas in dramatic fashion to secure the U.S. championship before facing Chinese Taipei.

Chinese Taipei set the tone early in the championship match, taking the lead with a base hit from Hu Yen-Chun in the first inning that produced the game’s initial run. For much of the game, they maintained control, as pitcher Ciou Zhi-Kai kept Florida off the scoreboard in the early innings, showcasing remarkable pitching skills.
