Fans of soap star Cameron Mathison, known for his roles in “General Hospital” and “All My Children,” have a mixed bag of news. The sad part is his previously announced holiday movie with Candace Cameron Bure, titled Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells, will not be produced this year. However, there’s a silver lining as Mathison is currently working on another holiday movie with Bure, titled Home Sweet Christmas.

Mathison couldn’t contain his excitement, sharing his enthusiasm in a clip on Instagram Stories alongside Bure. “We’ve been waiting to do this for a long time,” he said, adding, “Home Sweet Christmas. It’s official. You guys are gonna love this. You’re gonna love it.”

The movie’s plot centers around Sophie Marlow, played by Bure. Sophie, a successful mergers and acquisitions attorney, returns home after her great uncle passes away, leaving her a majority share in his sugar maple forest. As she reconnects with her roots in Washington, she runs into her old friend Sam, played by Mathison. Interestingly, Sam has inherited the other part of the business. While their initial plan is to sell Marlow Maple Meadows, unexpected twists promise to keep the story interesting.

Mathison is no stranger to holiday films. He’s been a staple in many television movies, especially those for Hallmark and Great American Family. His previous works include titles like A Christmas to Remember, The Christmas Club, and A Merry Christmas Wish.

As for Home Sweet Christmas, there’s no specific premiere date yet. However, it is set to be part of the Great American Christmas 2024 lineup from Great American Family. Fans can expect to see it later this year.
