Lauren Alaina Shares Heartwarming Singing Video with Her Late Father

Lauren Alaina and her late father, J.J. Suddeth, shared a special bond through music.

Just a few weeks after his death on July 23, the country singer shared a heartfelt video of herself and her “daddy” singing a worship song together.

In the clip, Suddeth is seen strumming a guitar while Alaina, the Season 10 American Idol runner-up, stands beside him. The duo leads a crowd in an acoustic rendition of Chris Tomlin’s song “How Great Is Our God,” with their voices harmonizing beautifully.

“I know you’re singing with angels and rejoicing His name,” wrote Alaina in the caption, addressing her father directly. “I’ll miss you forever daddy. Your little turd loves you so much.”

The touching video captures a poignant moment between father and daughter.

The “Getting Good” singer announced her father’s passing on social media but did not disclose the cause of his death. In the past, she had shared with her fans some details about his struggles with alcohol.

Following his untimely death, Alaina canceled several appearances on Jason Aldean’s Highway Desperado Tour to be with her family. She has since resumed her tour dates and took to social media to express her gratitude.

“Thank you. I can’t think of much else to say right now other than thank you,” she wrote in a heartfelt post. “Thank you to everyone who has checked on me and continued to show up for me.”

Alaina specifically thanked Aldean and his team, her family and loved ones, as well as her own team for their unwavering support.

“Most of all, thank you Jesus for the unconditional love and strength from the Kingdom of God surrounding all of us right now as we navigate this pain and sorrow,” she concluded.

This emotional period has shown the strong support system surrounding Alaina as she works through her grief, both from her professional community and her personal circle.

The video of Alaina and her father singing together is a touching tribute, showcasing the special relationship they shared through music. It serves as a comforting reminder of the enduring power of love and music, especially in times of loss.
