Leah McSweeney’s Attorney Amazed Andy Cohen’s Job Intact

Bravo is facing significant controversy as it navigates through multiple allegations and lawsuits. Leah McSweeney’s attorney has expressed shock that Andy Cohen hasn’t been fired amid these controversies. Questions are rising about whether the Bravo exec could soon be out of a job.

Earlier this week, a video surfaced showing Andy Cohen asking a Bravo star to watch him have sex. Brandi Glanville, a star from “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” revealed that an intoxicated Andy Cohen had texted her an inappropriate clip.

In the video, Andy was with “Below Deck” star Kate Chastain. He told Brandi that he planned to have sex with Kate later that night and invited her to watch.

Back in February, when Brandi’s allegations first came to light, Andy Cohen apologized for sending the video, stating it was “clearly in jest.”

Since then, Bravo investigated the incident and declared that no wrongdoing was found on Andy Cohen’s part. As a result, he hasn’t faced any disciplinary action, leaving many, including attorneys, shocked that he still has a job.

Leah McSweeney, another “Real Housewives” star, is currently suing the network. The discovery of the video Andy Cohen sent to Brandi Glanville supports her case. Leah’s attorney, Gary Adelman, is incredulous that Andy has maintained his position.

Adelman noted, “[Usually] if a person associated or employed with a company… sent a video like that to one of his employees, he would be immediately terminated.” He emphasized that the situation reveals Bravo’s lack of concern for their employees.

He continued, “It buttresses our claims and sends the message that [Bravo executives] ‘think they are above the employment law’ and really do not care at all about their employees, especially the women who have made these shows successful.”

Bravo has moved to dismiss Leah McSweeney’s lawsuit, prompting her to file a response this week to substantiate her claims further. Leah has accused “Real Housewives” producers of pressuring cast members into uncomfortable situations. In her case, they allegedly tried to make her relapse to boost ratings. She also claims Andy Cohen sexually harassed her by discussing her breast implants and sexual history.

Bravo’s attorneys have dismissed Leah’s claims as “threadbare.” They argue her lawsuit “impermissibly seeks to abridge Defendants’ First Amendment rights to tailor and adjust the messages they wish to convey in their creative works, including through cast selection and other creative decisions.”

Leah’s attorneys countered, stating that it seems Bravo believes the First Amendment “provides them the unfettered right to discriminate against their employees” and that “the First Amendment does not immunize [them] from liability simply because [they] claim to be in the business of creative expression.”
